When is hearing BAD News actually a good thing?

On Tuesday April 5th my brother learned from the Dr's in Charlotte he may have ALS-Lou Garrets Disease rather than the Parsonage Turner Syndrome the Dr's from Pinehurst were saying he had.  Although this is a worse prognoses at lease now he can start working on accepting his condition and try to spend his time living his life as full as he can while he can.  Please come by and see him if you can and keep him in your hearts, thoughts and prayers.

  1. Today we did not do too much. I still felt bad and slept until 12:00 noon and I know Jack did not get up until after 2:00 pm. Around 3:00 pm I went to pick-up Ryan and his Mama, Deanna came along to visit for a while. Deanna also gave me Our Mama's old swing to replace the one that broke that I had gotten from Aunt Sarah for my birthday. Deanna stayed inside and visited with Jack B. while their grandbabies, Bud and Ethan helped Ryan and I clean and fix the swing. All-and-all we had a pretty nice time together. Doug cooked some of his kick-ass Hambuger Helper and it sounds like we will be getting some bad weather tonight.

  2. Jack B. and I went to Raleigh, N.C. on Easter Sunday the 24th of April so he could be seen by even more specialists the next day at the Duke Hospitals in both Raleigh and Durham. My poor brother went through so many test and tried to be a real trooper but we still have no-idea what is causing his health problems. I pray the Lord will heal him or end his suffering soon. I Love him too much to watch him waste away like this.
